Truck City of Gary: H-Pile Sign Foundation

Working as a subcontractor to Larson-Danielson, Thatcher Foundations installed 12 each 8 x 36 H-Piles 70 feet deep. Thatcher's value engineering work provided substantial savings to Larson-Danielson and the project owner by suggesting and implementing a change in the type of piling used for the sign foundation.

In addition to the normal safety challenges presented by pile driving operations, Thatcher's employees had to be aware of the heavy truck traffic constantly near by them.
